LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Spanish is the official language of instruction at our conservatory and is therefore the language used for all teaching and examinations. For this reason, the recommended minimum level is B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as this ensures that students can follow academic content, participate in classes, and complete assessments with sufficient understanding.
We do not guarantee that teaching will be available in English or any other language. All teaching is delivered in Spanish. One-to-one instrumental lessons may, in some cases, be offered in English or another language, but this depends entirely on the individual teacher and cannot be assured in advance.
For students who do not have a sufficient level of Spanish, access to the full range of subjects in our study programmes cannot be guaranteed. In these cases, the selection of courses must be limited to those that can realistically be followed with the student’s language competence.
As a result, the acceptance of a student’s Erasmus placement may be conditional upon the approval of their Online Learning Agreement (OLA). This means that the proposed study plan will be carefully reviewed, and only courses compatible with the student’s language level will be authorised. Some subjects may therefore need to be excluded.
Students are strongly encouraged to consider their language level when preparing their Learning Agreement and, if necessary, to contact us in advance to check the suitability of specific subjects.
Please refer to your International Relations Coordinator for guidance on Online Language Support (OLS)
